“Who Are You”
A Resource for Self-Inquiry and Co-Meditation
80 colorful cards with emotional body gestures, brochure, in cardboard box

This beautifully designed set consists of 80 cards with images of original sculptures hand-made by Nöle Giulini.
They are intended to represent emotional or mental states as invented body gestures. Sometimes we have no words for what we are feeling. It might be helpful then to choose an image that expresses your experience and enter into a contemplative self-inquiry with it. Relating to what you are feeling as an object outside of yourself may present a sense of calm, safety, self-confidence and agency. You realize that you are not the experience, but the experience is a temporarily occurring in you.
There is a description of how to use these cards in the accompanied three-fold brochure. There are many more creative ways to include them in your own practice, in a yoga or iRest class, in context of a retreat, or other therapeutic settings. These cards will be presented in Nöle’s longer workshops and retreats throughout Europe and the United States.

Leontine Merkies, Certified iRest Teacher, says about the “Who-Are-You” cards / Spürgefährten Karten:
“Dear Nöle, I want to let you know that again we’ve had a wonderful support from your beautiful cards during my retreat. It is a real nice way for people to get to know each other as they explain shortly their cards of choice; creating a trusting atmosphere in the group.
After that introduction I invited people to stand and start moving (authentic movement), softly release tensions in whichever way while staying grounded, and then invited them to allow some form of expression to the feeling sensations of their card; with a movement, a gesture, a sound, and then moving to card ‘where they’ld like to be’ and find an expression of that in the body…. and if it felt appealing to them then gently move between the 2 of them…. and notice how it is to hold both of them in the body… It was a beautiful exercise and beautiful to witness… From there we went back to our mats and slided into our first iRest heart centered meditation.
At the end most people did not want to pick a new card (‘stepping stone card’) but rather stayed with their first chosen card (for ‘where they’ld like to be) as this had become a stepping stone. No one commented that there was not a ‘fitting’ card for them to find…. while I had brought all kind of creative materials to make one themselves…. there was someone who was really fired up to go find some clay to work with! So again, thank you so much for your attention and inspirations, I will keep on exploring possibilities for sure!”
